Mark your calendar and plan to join us for the 44th Annual Athletic Directors Workshop (ADW) to be held in Boone. The dates are September 13th - 15th . This year's ADW will feature 6 great educational sessions with 0.6 ceu's offered and dynamic keynote speakers. The workshop will also have events scheduled that promote physical activity and time for networking and sharing with your peers from around the state. Refund Policy

The Athletics Directors Steering Committee is looking for deserving candidates for the awards of Meritorious Service Award and Young Professional.  If you know of recreation professional working in the Athletics Sector that is worthy of one of these awards, please submit the information pertaining to the criteria listen below.  Please send your nominations to Troy Blaser and Caleb Mangum by Friday, August 24th by 5:00pm.  Award recipients will be honored at the 2016 Athletics Directors Workshop which will be held in Boone from September  13th – 15th. 


Criteria for Meritorious Service Award and Outstanding Young Professional


•             Current member in good standing with NCRPA

•             Current involvement in athletic programming as a full time professional

•             Exemplary character in professional contributions and character


Meritorious Service Award: A Professional NCRPA member who has rendered services to the organization and the profession.  This award will be limited to those persons having served as minimum of ten years as a full time employee in the park and recreation field as an athletic programmer.


Outstanding Young Professional: A NCRPA member who has rendered outstanding service in the field of athletics to the recreation profession on a local, state and/or national level.  This award shall be limited to those persons having served at least two years, but no more than 10 years in the park and recreation field.
